The movie “Viking Wolf,” which claims to be Norway’s first werewolf film, was recently released. The film, recently acquired by Netflix, accurately depicts a lycanthrope terrorizing a small Norwegian town. Director Stig Svendsen puts a fresh spin on the werewolf myth by customizing it to fit the Scandinavian setting, resulting in a distinctive, albeit imperfect, addition to the genre.
“Viking Wolf” is a serious movie, even though its name may sound silly. It uses the same style as other dark and suspenseful movies from Scandinavia and combines it with a story about a creature.

Viking Wolf Plot:
“Viking Wolf” takes us back to the year 1050, when the leader of a Viking group named Grim Gudbrand went to Normandy with his army to raid it. While they were there, they found a secret room that the local monks didn’t want them to go into.
The monks were trying to protect Gudbrand because they knew a dangerous creature was inside that could harm everyone. But Gudbrand didn’t listen and went into the room anyway. They found a small wolf cub, but it turned out to be a dangerous monster.
The Vikings brought the cub back to their ship, but it killed everyone on the way back to Norway. The wolf went into the woods and evil was now in the land of the midnight sun. This shows that sometimes not listening to others can lead to trouble.
A long time ago, people forgot about the dangerous creature that the Vikings brought back to Norway. Thale lived in Nybo, Norway, and was still getting used to her new home. She didn’t have many friends and her parents were not getting along, so she mostly kept to herself.
Thale was very close to her sister Jenny, who was deaf and couldn’t speak. Thale’s mother, Liv Berg, was a police officer and her father had passed away. Her mother later married a man named Arthur, but Thale still considered her father to be her only real dad. Arthur was a nice guy and understood how Thale was feeling.
He told Liv to give Thale space and let her be. Liv loved Arthur, but it was hard for Thale to understand how her mother could move on so quickly. Thale felt like her mother wasn’t affected by her father’s death, but that was not true. Her first husband was not a good man, but that didn’t mean that his death didn’t hurt her.
Thale was a typical teenager and didn’t like anyone trying to control her life. One day, Thale’s friend Jonas asked her to hang out with them that evening. Thale went to meet them, but something unexpected happened that changed her life forever.

Thale, Jonas, and their friend Elin Gran were attacked by an unknown creature. Jonas and Thale were badly hurt, but the creature took Elin into the woods. Elin was the mayor’s daughter, so the police were under a lot of pressure to find her.
Thale’s mother, Liv, arrived and was worried when she saw Thale injured. Thale survived, but was hurt. Liv asked Thale and others at the scene what happened, but no one saw anything that could help the police solve the case.
Lars Brodin & His Secrets About The Viking Wolf
The body of Elin Gran was found and appeared to have been attacked by a predator, but the extent of the injuries made it impossible for the medical expert to determine the species. The forensic pathologist suggested contacting the Norwegian school of veterinary sciences.
A man named Lars Brodin then visited the police station and claimed that the predator was a werewolf and could only be killed by a silver bullet. In the film “Viking Wolf,” the expert from the institute concluded the predator was a wolf, but with larger claws.
The police force, with a hunting permit, set out to search for the werewolf and eventually killed it with a silver bullet. Lars welcomed Liv and William into his caravan and explained that the werewolf may infect others and is driven by a hunger for human blood. He also told them about the Fenris wolf in Norse mythology.

‘Viking Wolf’ Ending Explained
Thale, who was bitten by a werewolf on the night of Elin’s attack, starts experiencing visions and strange symptoms indicating she is transforming into a werewolf. Thale eventually succumbs to her blood thirst and kills Jonas. William realizes the werewolf responsible for Jonas’ death has similarities with human DNA and believes it to be an infected person.
She transforms into a werewolf on a bus, killing passengers, and Liv realizes it is her daughter. Thale goes to her home and is calmed by Jenny’s presence but is eventually shot with a tranquilizer by Liv and William. After being unsuccessful, Jenny stabs the werewolf with the tranquilizer.
Thale is taken to the forensics lab and Liv, unable to let her daughter continue killing, shoots her with silver bullets. The show ends with Liv placing the silver bullet in front of Thale’s photo.
If you like your werewolf film like I do then Norwegian flick Viking Wolf on Netflix is one for you although despite having some neat little ideas, being set in the atmospheric woods of Norway and a nastier-looking creature, the plot and archetypes do feel very familiar. pic.twitter.com/Wr8I9gDgsB
